Halton Children's Aid Society

Welcome to

Cupe 2501

Our Union

We as public service staff, protect children and encourage family stability. Our main aim is to safeguard children from abuse and neglect. We also offer culturally diverse services aimed at supporting families so that they can remain together and parent to their highest potential.

Our Union supports members while they carry out the challenging mandate of child welfare.  We provide a voice to management about our working conditions and work collaboratively with management in creating a healthy and safe work environment to ensure the wellbeing of our membership.  We also ensure that our collective agreement is adhered to, and we strive to achieve fair pay and benefits for the services we provide.

About CUPE

As members of the largest union in Canada, with over 715,000 members across the country.  CUPE represents workers across a broad range of public sectors who work in social service, hospitals, schools, municipalities, and many other public spaces.

CUPE also advocates for better public services, like improvements to public health care and to the Canada Pension Plan, that would improve our communities and the lives of all Canadians.

CUPE offers a wide variety of workshops and different ways for members to access union education. This includes weeklong, weekend, weeknight and noon-hour learning opportunities. For courses offered in our area please visit CUPE Ontario website:
